These terms govern the use of vinfolio.org, the workshop web panel, and the Vinfolio mobile app (the "Service"). By registering or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
02Description of the service
Vinfolio is a digital vehicle service passport. The Service links workshops and vehicle owners through one service history tied to a VIN. Workshops log the work they perform, and owners see the full history of their vehicle regardless of where it was serviced.
03Registration and accounts
You need to register to use the Service. Workshops register as an organization with one or more staff members (owner, manager, mechanic). Vehicle owners register as individuals and link vehicles by VIN, or add a vehicle without one under a name and link its VIN later. You must provide accurate information and must not share your account access with third parties.
04Free of charge
The Service is currently free for workshops and vehicle owners — no subscription, no hidden fees. We may introduce paid features in the future, but we will notify you in advance and will not charge for already-used basic features without your consent.
05Content and service records
Records added by a verified workshop are marked "Verified by workshop"; records from a workshop that is not verified are marked as an imported document. Records added by an owner themselves are marked "Added by owner" and are not verified by the Service. Responsibility for the accuracy of entered data rests with the party who added it.
06Data accuracy and liability
Vinfolio provides a platform for storing and sharing service history, but does not inspect the technical condition of vehicles and is not liable for decisions made based on data in the Service. Treat the service history as one source of information, not the sole basis for a vehicle transaction.
07Personal data
We process personal data (name, email, phone) necessary to operate the Service — registration, identifying workshops and owners, and sending notifications. Data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. For questions about data processing, contact [email protected].
08Account deletion
A vehicle owner can delete their account at any time in the app settings. Workshop staff can request deletion at [email protected]. When an owner account is deleted, service records tied to the VIN remain in the vehicle's history for future owners; your personal data is deleted or anonymized.
09Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
